“ if there is a change for u to write a book about urself, when will you begin the book? and how will it be? full of happiness or vice versa?” some one posted it on FB and makes me stop for few second before scrolling down further. What is left behind in ur memories when ppl nowadays only busy for work,chasing the latest gadget, jamming on the road, earning more money when owning a car cost 4 years of gross salary for an executive, can’t even imagine to get a house.
I am nothing better than those ppl live in the town.Struggling to pay the bills every month and groaning of what can we actually do to improve “quality of life” ( the phrase that I used almost everyday but it seems so far to be reached).
Back to the post,The B.I.G group—many would have heard of their big name in town.Their outlets can be seen in most of the big shopping malls and they mean style!!!!
Ben’s General Food Store in Bangsar Village 1. Usually I dun spend so much on lunch especially weeks day but I have been reading excellent review of this outlet, hence, I decided to eat there alone. Yes, I am sitting alone at a corner on the long “canteen” table. Isn’t the first time of having lunch alone but I feel unease to share table with ppl when I need to be solo.However, the food is good. I had the combination of 2 salad which were Fried Eggplant & Chicken slice and Caesar Salad. Fried Aubergine and chicken slice is very tasty and the strong flavour of kicap manis with garlic.feel like shouting for a bowl of white rice. Eating as a salad, it turn very salty at the end. The Caesar salad has the same combination as Plan b., fresh and crunchy lettuce, crispy turkey bacon and a half boiled egg with the Caesar dressing.
Ben’s in Pavilion.Pad Thai Seafood Linguine and Chargilled Chicken breast with mash potatoes and green beans. In love with their pad thai. It maybe not be as authentic as the one we have had in Thailand but this fusion with linguine was outstanding.Fresh chives with bean sprout and some extra chili flake to add extra flavour and texture plus their generous portion of seafood make it so irresistible. Cousin ordered the chargilled chicken breast which was tender and juice with the smooth and creamy mash potatoes.
Take away Rocky Road from Plan b Bangsar by C.E.O. The marshmallow after coated with chocolate is getting too hard to bite maybe it is meant to be oven before serve but I am lazy to do so. However the chocolate base mixed with shredded dried coconut flash have surprise me.
Overall, the Big group did a very good job in KL’s eatery. They mean trend and style. No doubt that the ingredient they use is really up to standard and will never fail our expectation. If there is some time to spare, drop by their Big General Grocer at Publika. Stocks are fully imported and of high quality!!
