This is the most famous and must try restaurant for people who visit Malacca. Greatly promoted by local and also overseas mass media has made this restaurant even more pack with tourists from all over the world. Most of the time, the queue is super duper long. It can be 4 or 5 shops away which i think it is too much. Luckyly the Boss is very considerate to prolong their business hour til late at night or perhaps i should use the word EARLY at 4:00am.However, I went with my cousin at 2:30am on one of the Saturday nite and we still gotta wait for 5-10 minutes.
Each stick is 80 cents now. Price leapt after they get famous.-.-. There is also no take away service. People get puppy when they are too popular.
They had input Yao char gui to their wide range of choices which is my favorite. They do not serve it when i was little, that's way we seldom dine here in the past.
Century Bird eggs.More firm than the usual chicken/duck eggs but less flavour.
Once awhile the boss will distribute few Huge sized prawns, sliced Abalone, huge clams, oversized cuttlefish legs to each table. And no extra charge for it.I love the prawns.No photos of it as i am to eager to finish them.It is a decent satay celup stall but not my favourite especially the long queue. Will introduce my preferred stall in the future.
