Baba low's 486 @ Tengerak

After reading this here, I only realise that they do have another branch at KL and happen to be quite a famous restaurant which serve authentic Nyonya cuisines.This is their stall at Tengerak,Malacca the original 1.

There are only 6 dishes available here: Nyonya Laksa,Mee Siam, Nasi Lemak, Popiah,Pai Tee, and Cendol.

*The fried prawn wan tan is not included*

Nyonya Laksa Mee /BiHun which has a very rich favour of Santan ,a spoonful of bawang Sambal that give extra Oomph to the broth. Consider as one of the best Nyonya laksa in Malacca but not of my liking. I would prefer the other stall where Nyonya aunty had retired.:'(

Nasi Lemak, without any fancy side dishes as in KL branch.Here they only come with ikan bilis, kangkung, kacang and their significant sambal. This allow us to taste on the original fragrant of the rice and sambal give an extra kick to the whole dish.

Pai Tee,this is the best dish of all. Stuff with braise Mengkuang in the deep fried cup-shape pastry top with cucumber, egg and shallots. Never miss out the chili sauce, soul of this dish. The chili eventually bring out the sweetness of all vege with the crispy pastry, so much satisfy of my taste bud.

Mee Siam, skipped....nothing significant to me.

Have you realise that i miss out the popiah and cendol?!!Cendol is not their famous dish and there is so much more yummy cendol in town, so i did not order it here. But i do give an effort to order their popiah....but the boss(ya... that one standing in the first picture) told me that their popiah had finished. While half way eating...i saw the waitress is serving popiah to the other table that came after us....i was curious but my friend told me maybe they had make the reservation.When we were about to pay at the cashier, i saw people place an order for the popiah and they are making her one.So i asked the boss :" i tot u say ur popiah had finish?" than that hell answer me : " No, i said the popiah skin was finish, need to wait for it to come."(I dun remember he speaks such a LONG sentence to me Lo). I answered him back that he didn't tell me that, if not i would place an order for it and he this is how he reply:" I insist that i never say that, i only told u u have to wait. U must have heard it wrongly! Just mis understanding,u can try next time"
I paid and just walk off...
